The Somali Statistics and Research Institute (SOSARI) is an independent, Somali-led research and consulting institution committed to advancing evidence-based decision-making at national, regional, and global levels. The institute generates high-quality research, statistical analysis, and consultancy services that inform public policy, strengthen humanitarian and development programming, and drive sustainable socio-economic transformation. Through its multidisciplinary expertise, SOSARI supports improved governance, public health, economic development, and social wellbeing across diverse contexts and communities.
SOSARI collaborates with government institutions, international and local non-governmental organizations (INGOs and LNGOs), United Nations agencies, development partners, donors, academic institutions, and the private sector to transform complex data into reliable and actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and communities. Through rigorous research methodologies and advanced analytical approaches, the institute supports evidence-informed planning, program implementation, and policy development.

OBJECTIVES
- Conduct baseline, midline, and endline evaluations across humanitarian and development sectors.
- Deliver targeted training for government, LNGOs, and CSO personnel in MEAL, research methods, and data ethics.
- Design and implement large-scale surveys and censuses to inform strategic planning.
- Produce policy briefs, working papers, and applied research for decision-makers.
- Utilize data analytics and visualization to enhance program performance and accountability.
