The Somali Statistics and Research Institute (SOSARI) is proud to announce recent progress in strengthening evidence-based decision-making across key development sectors in Somalia. Over the past quarter, SOSARI has:

  • Successfully initiated baseline and needs assessment surveys in Galmudug and Banadir regions, aimed at informing educational, health, and livelihood interventions.
  • Expanded partnerships with local and international NGOs to deliver third-party monitoring and data quality assurance services.
  • Launched a new training program for local institutions on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems, improving project planning and impact measurement.
  • Begun the development of a National Research and Data Repository to centralize socio-economic and demographic data for policymakers and development partners.

As we move forward, SOSARI remains committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and innovation in Somalia’s research and statistics landscape.
